In this study, Barry Poyner looks at what those first-century Christians thought and practiced with implications for us as 21st-century Christians. These lessons aren’t a history lesson on restoration; they are, instead, a fascinating look at the heart and thrill of restoration as we seek to be God’s people in the world today.

Author Information:
Dr. Barry Poyner is a student of restoration history and regularly teaches a class on social movements at a public university. With degrees from Lipscomb University and Louisiana State University, Poyner concentrated his work on figures in the American Restoration of the church, George W. DeHoff and James Shannon.
